WILLIAMS ARIZONA GATEWAY TO THE GRAND CANYON
Williams, Arizona is also known as the ‘Gateway to the Grand Canyon’ is one of Northern Arizona’s most exciting and fun towns! Only 50 miles from the South rim of the Grand Canyon, Williams offers that authentic Route 66 feel with a cool western flair. From cowboy bars and restaurants to classic car hangouts this is the place to be in Northern Arizona. Just 30 miles west of Flagstaff and 165 miles North of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport there’s no excuse to not come to this revived Route 66 town.
Williams is a cool place to hang out, literally, during the summer months we have temperatures that average in the mid-70’s! Yes, that’s 30 degrees cooler than the Phoenix area making Williams a great second home location or a great place for a simple weekend getaway!
Williams has become a destination location with fun activities such as Bearizona, a 165 acre drive through wildlife park with every kind of wild animal you can imagine from bears to wolves and everything in between. There is also a zip line in downtown Williams that will give you a view of then entire town before you zip back down to ground level! Stop up for a ride on the World Famous Grand Canyon Railway or head to the North Pole on the Polar Express during the winter holiday season. Want to hike and explore in the mountains? There are miles and miles of National Forest Service trails to hike and view wildlife on along with great ATV trails for your off road vehicle!
