The City of Williams Parks and Recreation Department oversees the operations of city-owned recreation facilities and parks within the community. The department also sponsors programs throughout the year for all of the citizens within the community. Event Schedule here
Recreation Center & Skate Park
The Recreation Center provides hours of fun and entertainment for our local youth. billiards, ping pong, movies, basketball, crafts, and popcorn make the center the place to be for youth in the Williams community.
The “Shed” is Northern Arizona’s only indoor skate park. The facility was designed and renovated by Williams youth.
Williams Aquatic Center
The City of Williams swimming pool is an indoor facility that offers seasonal, recreational swimming. The pool opens the Saturday before Memorial Day with a ‘Community Free Swim’ day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and closes the Saturday before Labor Day with a ‘Community Free Swim’ from noon to 4:00 pm. The facility offers: lap swimming, water aerobics, public swim sessions and lessons. The pool is equipped with a mushroom water feature. For information, during the off season call 928-635-1496 and during the operational season call the pool directly at 928-635-3005. Schedules and prices will be posted to in May.
Cureton Park
This park includes the Pee Wee Little League Field, the Jack Honanie Softball Field, lighted basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a playground and picnic area, a cook shack and restrooms.
Buckskinner Park
Open during summer months for day use, the park includes two cabanas, barbecue pits, basketball and volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. The lake is stocked regularly by Arizona Game and Fish, and the park has a the trail head to several trails maintained by the forest service. Cabanas can be reserved in advance for private parties.
Rodeo Grounds
Facilities include the Rodeo Barn, cook shack, restrooms, and two arenas. This facility can accommodate large groups and is used throughout the year.
Cataract Park
Cataract Lake County Park is a joint venture between Coconino County and the City ofWilliams. Open for day use, the park includes two ramadas, charcoal barbecues, horseshoe pits, playground and restroom facilities. The lake is stocked regularly by Arizona Game and Fish. Ramadas can be reserved in advance for private parties through the City of Williams Recreation Department (928-635-1496).
